How many events will I work per month?

That’s up to you. You set your availability and we book events that match it; the servers who work most are the ones who open the most weekends.

Our teams work in a professional all-black uniform. You purchase yours through the supplier link we provide at orientation, and we supply the tie.

Where are the events?

Across Chicago’s North Shore, the city of Chicago, and the surrounding suburbs: private homes, country clubs, banquet venues, and event spaces. Our roster commutes from Chicago neighborhoods like Rogers Park, and from Buffalo Grove, Morton Grove, Des Plaines, and all over Chicagoland.

How much do event servers make?

$25 per hour, published and guaranteed. Servers work as independent contractors (1099), so you keep your availability in your own hands and handle your own taxes.

Do I need serving experience to apply?

Experience is preferred but not required; if you have the attitude and reliability, our captains can teach the standard. If you’d rather start behind the scenes first, our porter and event support roles require no experience and pay the same $25/hour, and many of our servers started there.

What certifications do I need?

Servers need an Illinois Food Handler certificate. You don’t need it to apply: you have 30 days after joining to complete it at your own cost, and we’ll point you to the course at orientation.
