Event Bartender Jobs on Chicago’s North Shore, $25 an Hour

Why Bartenders Choose That Special Event
$25 per hour
Not a range, not a maybe. That’s the rate, and we’re one of the only event staffing companies anywhere in Chicagoland that puts it in writing.
Your Bar, Your Craft
You set up your own bar, run it your way to our standard, and break it down clean. Clients supply the alcohol; you supply the skill.
Flexible scheduling
You submit your availability; we book you for events that match. No minimum shift quota, no penalty for busy weeks.
A 25-year Name Behind You
Family-owned, Northbrook-based, and known by venues and clients across the North Shore since 1999. When you work our events, the room already trusts you.

What the Job Looks Like
You’ll arrive to a captain’s briefing, build your bar before doors open, and serve guests all evening: pours, classic cocktails, and signature drinks depending on the event. You’ll work with the client’s alcohol, keep your station stocked and spotless, and break the bar down completely at the end. Weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, corporate events, and private parties, at venues and homes across the North Shore and Chicago. Every bar is a little different; that’s the point.
What Makes a That Special Event Bartender
Bartending experience is required, and bar and restaurant experience absolutely counts. Here’s the rest:
Illinois BASSET certification, before your first event
This one is non-negotiable; it’s state law for serving alcohol, and you must arrive certified. If you’re not certified yet, the course is quick and online; get it, then apply.
Real bartending experience
Bar, restaurant, or event experience all count. What matters is that you can run a bar confidently on your own.
Range behind the bar.
Comfortable at every tier we staff: beer, wine, and soda bars; full bars mixing classic two-and-three-part cocktails; and signature cocktail menus.
Self-sufficient setup and breakdown
You build your own bar and leave the space clean. Owning your station start to finish is part of the job.
Guest-first composure
Friendly and fast when the line is deep, courteous with every guest, and calm when the event throws a curveball.
Professional appearance
All-black uniform, sharp grooming, clean station. Behind the bar, everything shows.
